yard sale prep

I'm cleaning out my sewing room today getting ready for a yard sale this weekend. maybe if i sell some stuff i can make room for more fabric LOL. My sister-in-law already sayes it looks like a store in that room (a realy messy store). Hopefully I can remidy that.
I have two garbage bags full of ties i was going to make a quilt from them but decided that i have to many other projects so i'll let someone else have fun with them. And i have a few antique sewing machines that i bought and never used so its time for them to find new homes to. I have way to much stuff so Im realy trying to downsize the stuff i dont think i'll ever use.

on the topick of yard sales my favorit LQS (www.cherishedpeices.com) is having there annual yard sale this weekend in Tillsonburg so i'll have to find some time for that as well.

Whant im curently working on

this is the quilt i just took off the frame . Im making it for my Daughter she picked out the fabric i dident like it at first but now Im starting to like this quilt. i just quilted it in a random pattern of flowers leaves hearts and butterflys with lots a swirls.
I love the coulours pink and black together and im having fun adding lots off texture to the background off this quilt.

This quilt is for a customer its her first quilt and she did a realy good job. Its an exploding pinapple pattern and i love the colours she chose. i quilted it with varigated tan and brown aurifill thread.

pictures

This is one off the first quilts I made for a paying customer.
The pattern is spring time ribbons from about quilting .com.
I stippled it on my domestic machine. That was an adventure since it was the largest quilt I had ever quilted on that machine. Thankfully i have a mid arm on a frame now so I can finish a quilt much faster and with more acuracy now.

my fist blog post

A bit about myself. im a Mom and i love to quilt. i hope to post pictures of my in progress and finished quilts as i get then done.
